Nanoparticles can be seen by naked eye, of course only when there are tonnes of them
RECENTLY, I just concluded my final year project on nanoparticles, Of course I cannot reveal the exact details as to the nature of my research project cos I am still hoping the results will someday be published and I can make my mark in the academic work.
Anyway, here are the gold nanoparticles I made, each of these worth a lot lot, because the gold I used, 1g cost more than 200 bucks
and I think here, should have around 50 bucks worth
These are spheres
These are the seeds, the very small 2nm nanoparticles that can grow to become spheres or rods- shaped nanoparticles
and these are rods all of them different sizes
of course if you google nanoparticles images, you can see their real shape, under special microscopes
but these are how gold nanoparticles look like as they are unstable and thus being a transition metal, they have many different colours, ranging from red, orange to grey and brown
very fascinating right,
yeah Science Rocks!!
